About Nikhil Sinha

Dr. Nikhil Sinha is an internationally recognized expert on the global information technology, business process outsourcing and telecommunications industries.

As the President and Co-Chief Executive Officer of EMR Technology Ventures, an international business process outsourcing company, he has used his 15+ years of experience in cross-border transactions between India and the US. He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of iDLX Technology Partners an IT and business process outsourcing company and Executive Vice President of eFunds Corporation, a leading payment management and technology outsourcing company. From 2002 to 2005 he was Associate Dean in the College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Sinha is non-executive Chairman of the Board of Works Inc., an Austin based payment management company. He also serves on the Board of the US-India Business Council, the principal private sector organization representing US companies doing business in India and on the advisory committee of the Indo-U.S. Sub-Commission on Education and Culture, an inter-governmental organization promoting educational and cultural exchanges between the two countries. He has been a consultant to the World Bank and has served as advisor to the Indian Telecom and Planning Commissions.

Dr. Sinha has a M.A. and Ph.D. from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi. He is married to Dr. Laura Lynn Stein and has three children.
